Tentalones (kerfing)

1) Trim to size.

2) Glue bottom tentalones.
3) Glue top tentalones.

Attach sides to top

 

1) Set up side clamping jig

 2) Trim bracing

  3) Remove sides from mold

 4) Square up top and back joints, then tape back so it acts like a hinge.

5) Put a small amount of glue along the back joint and rim of the sides that will attach to soundboard.

(Tip: Do not glue the top of the sides at the neck joint. Also, place a couple wedges on each side of the joint to make a tight fit between the side the neck.)
